This is the red fox that likes to hang around out home. Around 6:30 PM most evenings he is in our yard checking out everything and has come within 15 feet of me. I guess he is checking me out too! He is absolutely beautiful, these pictures don’t really show his colors very well.
He also hangs out on our driveway where I put out corn for the turkey.
Off he goes looking for food!!
Trails cameras are a lot of fun and you never know what you have on the pictures, great for security too.

Yes, and huge! I can never decide whether a fox is more like a cat or like a dog. Wish they could be made into pets.

Ever cataloged all of the critters who share your bit of the mountain? Would be quite a list!
not really but there are a lot, here is a quick list… red fox, grey fox, raccoons, coyote, black bear, beavers at the pond, ground hogs, turkey, bob cat, opossum, spotted and striped skunks, deer, muskrat, flying squirrels, white squirrels, chipmunks, etc. I am sure I forgot something and this doesn’t include all the different snakes, turtles, birds, etc.. Great place to live if you love animals and nature! 🙂
What a list! Yes, a wonderful place to enjoy the wildlife. I’ve never heard of a spotted skunk. We love chipmunks, but rarely see one this far east-they are more towards the mountains. Your white squirrel was just beautiful is he still around?
Yes, I love it, animals are always around. I see the white squirrel in the mornings. He is a bit frighten when he sees me in the yard and hides.
