After heavy rain Sunday evening and light rain most of the night, it’s a beautiful but cloudy day today! The hydrangea are absolutely beautiful this year!
Do you grow hydrangea?
Have a great day!
As I walked in the garden this morning I couldn’t help but notice a few late fall flowers blooming. Since we are now having cool mornings with temperatures in the 50’s I didn’t expect to see any flowers. This hydrangea is on the south side of our home and has done well there. It has grow nearly 4 foot high and 4 foot wide. This was the only flower!
My wife grows daisies, they have bloomed all summer….. again this was the only daisy flower on this plant.
We have 8 of these plants in the garden and in the Spring they are full of flower, love the fushia color.
I am not sure what the name of this plant it, it is a volunteer, some sort of wild flower.
This purple wild flower is a volunteer as well, another native wild flower.
Our roses have done well this year!
We had a mild winter plus all the extra rain we have gotten this year the hydrangeas are absolutely beautiful. It has also extended the blooms as well as my hydrangeas are blooming a second time. Talk about rain, the local news shows we have gotten 51.7 inches of rain this year putting us 21 inches over our normal rain fall in a year, WOW!
My blue hydrangea plant is huge this year and loaded with blooms.
I love both the blue and pink hydrangeas. Over the years I have started rooted cuttings which has given me alot of plants plus a few to give away to family and friends.
