Another beautiful sunset!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day!
This afternoon we had the most amazing sunset! Temperatures tonight are suppose to get down to 14 degrees! Last night we had 19 degrees with a wind chill of 10 degrees. I believe winter is early for nearly all of the US and there are record snow falls, temperatures and wind chills.

Our sunset yesterday afternoon was spectacular. Cooler temperatures rolled in late yesterday evening giving us a low temperature this morning at 38 degrees! Today’s high is only suppose to be 59 degrees.
Acorns and hickory nuts are all down on the ground, the deer and squirrels are having a good time eating them. The leaves are turning brown and falling. Doesn’t looks like we will have the beautiful color leaves this year.
We had another beautiful sunset yesterday! I think fall is going to be earlier for us this year, we are already having cooler day and night temperatures. Last night we had a low temperature of 65 degrees F.
The leaves have started falling, acorns, hickory nuts and walnut are falling too. It won’t be long before we have the beautiful fall leaf colors!
Has fall started in your area?
Good morning Y’all!
It was a bitter cold cloudy winter morning today but not as cold as yesterday. Our low yesterday was 4 degrees and today is was 13 degrees, I think we have a warming trend!
I wanted to share our beautiful sunset from yesterday!

Good evening everyone!
I hope everyone feeling the brutal cold temperatures and maybe bad winter weather is in a safe and warm place tonight. Last night we had a low temperature of 3 degrees with wind chill temperatures up and down around minus -1o to -17 degrees. The wind was blowing on the mountain all night long. As I write this post, our temperature is already at 17 degrees but the wind is not blowing as strong as last night.
Last Saturday, as the fog was lifting we had the most beautiful sunrise .
As I scan thru all the photographs I took today, I picked out my third photograph that I took of our beautiful and colorful sunrise. There were several photographs of our sunrise but this one was the best.
As you look at this picture, your eyes will focus on the sunrise, then the tree branches. If you look again, you will see that the mountain fog has started lifting. Then I noticed the blue sky and all the clouds. Wow, our sunrise today was spectacular!

We had a perfect ending to a perfect day and as it begins, so it ends. A strong cold front moved across upstate South Carolina Wednesday evening that led to the most beautiful sunset. I caught these pictures from our deck just a few minutes before dark. The reflection of the sun on the clouds was beautiful.
The cold front spawned snow flurries and bitter cold temperatures. By 9:00 PM the skies were clear, the temperature read 22 degrees and gusty winds gave us a wind chill of 12 degrees.
I found the evidence of our cold night the next morning down at our mountain spring which is on the North Slope.
